I have participated in 49 Venice Biennial 2001 with my "Progress?"  dual-screen video work. It was part of the Armenian National Pavilion which was presenting "Work in Progress" exhibition.

"Progress?" still from video

The creation of “virtual reality“ in conjunction with “natural reality” is the greatest achievement of the technological era.

Every day it conquers newer frontiers, thus further glueing people to the computer.

It dictates its own artificial rules and regulations. More and more it detaches mankind from nature and natural relations.

     Is this progress?

The Project started as an installation and then developed into dual-screen video. At Venice Biennial alongside the video, I presented “Green Lines” objects, “Natural/Unnatural” is another version of the objects. Later, in the frame of the same project, I did another object/installation, entitled “10010111”.
